Mother of the Year!

Do you really think I told my children to stick up their middle fingers like this? If I had, there is no way I could qualify for the "Mother of the Year" award. However, the fact that I had the camera on these two separate occasions might put me in the running. In both cases, my boys merely had something on their fingers that they were trying to show me. No lie.

Sometimes as a parent I am just trying to not scar my children for life. Wednesday mornings are super hectic for us. I have to drop Charlie off at camp at 9 a.m., drive to a club approximately 12 minutes away(on a really good day) with an astounding amount of road construction, put Willie in the child center and be 10 minutes early to a 9:30 a.m. cycle class I teach. This week I pull up to drop Charlie off and forgot that I needed to bring his suit, towel and a t-shirt to tie dye. I had none of the above with no extra time to run home to get these items.  Fortunately I had an extra pair of shorts in his back pack he could get wet, and extra t-shirt (red, so not as good as white for tie dye, but at least a t-shirt!) but still no towel. He survived and so did I. Or, maybe that is why he is giving me the finger.....

I have been enjoying other people's blogs and they post so many pictures, which is great. I haven't posted any pictures in a post yet, so here ya go!  Love you all!

Thanks for visiting my site! It was so great to meet you! I love the opening for your blog. Witty and entertaining at the same time. I can only relate to the constant - Oh s**t! What else did I forget as I am driving the kids or myself to the next activity of the day. The great thing is it sounds like you know how to roll with it and laugh it off!

i can so relate!! there are many days that i feel like i am in "survival" mode......those are the days i see these other moms totally organized with their kids in totally (clean) and matched outfits- doesn't mean that my kids don't get as much love..........
we CAN still be Mothers of the year.....because the things we DO for our kids are the things that are really important.
YOur an awesome MOM Darcy!
