I am still on track for eating clean despite going to a girls night (a surprise party for yours truly in fact!!!) and drinking water, eating lettuce shrimp wraps and yellow peppers. There was a lot of good looking food there but it actually didn't appeal to me.
So, even though I did the whole picture thing (we had to take before pictures from all angles), I am pretty certain I will look exactly the same after 30 days. Totally fine. In fact, I plan to weigh myself (I never weigh myself) once per week to make sure I am at least staying within a certain range. My new goals/hopes for this challenge are to come out with shinier hair and better looking skin. Is that weird?
One thing I noticed about Melissa and Dallas (the Whole9 peeps and the people that follow this nutrition plan religiously) is that their skin was glowing. Oh, and they are incredibly good looking so is that a possible outcome too? In fact, Dallas is just freakin' HOT! Okay, sorry about that outburst but hot damn!
What this all boils down to is that I need a nutritional plan that I can present to my clients. This is a shocking plan to most and seems undoable. However, if I can give them more motivation than weight loss it might actually be realistic. I am excited to find lots of reasons to follow this. If you can think of any in your experience, please share!

One day a woman brought her son to Ghandi and said, "Teacher, please tell my son to stop eating sugar."
Ghandi thought for a moment and said, "bring him back in a week."
A week later, the woman returned, son in tow and asked, once again, "teacher, my son eats sweets all day long, will you please tell him to stop eating sugar and be a healthy boy?"
Ghandi lowered himself to floor, kneeling in front of the boy and said gently, "listen to your mother, little brother, she is wise. You must stop eating so much sugar and be a healthy boy," and sent the boy from the room.
Incredulously, the mother asked "why couldn't you just say that to him a week ago?"
Ghandi smiled gently and said, "because a week ago, wise mother, _I_ was eating sugar."

We shouldn't try and dictate a path in life that we, ourselves, aren't willing to tread; and you are already treading a healthy and repeatable lifestyle. I don't think it's necessary for you to either embrace a method that you don't believe in or try and force it on others if you don't believe in it completely. I appreciate all the knowledge and experience that you bring to the gym every day, regardless of what you had for breakfast, since I know that, Paleo or not, it was healthy and responsible.
Oh, and I still want that almond, blueberry recipe.
Cool story above. I was going to add that when I'm eating right, I notice that recovery from hard workouts is so much easier. Thanks for sharing your experience, it's fun to read along!
